  • A vitamin test can help you find out if you’re getting enough of the essential vitamins that support your overall physical health, from bone health and cell metabolism to blood cell formation and DNA production. Our Vitamin Deficiency Test measures your levels of vitamin D, vitamin B12 and vitamin B9. 

  • Common signs of a vitamin deficiency anemia include4:

    • Fatigue
    • Shortness of breath
    • Dizziness
    • Irregular heartbeats
    • Pale or yellowish skin
    • Muscle weakness
    • Numbness in hands or feet
    • Unsteadiness
    • Mental confusion or forgetfulness
  • You should test your vitamin levels if you are at higher risk for vitamin deficiencies. This may include those who:

    • Have limited sun exposure
    • Have darker pigmentation
    • Have a history of liver disease or cystic fibrosis 
    • Have had gastrointestinal surgery or who experience digestive disorders (e.g., celiac or Crohn’s disease, IBD, IBS)
    • Are obese
    • Follow a plant-based diet, e.g., vegetarians or vegans
    • Are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Your results will be provided to you through our secure online portal to view or print. Results are also provided to PWNHealth, which provides professional healthcare provider services for OnDemand tests. If you are accessing your results through your Labcorp Patient account, all users linked to the account will have access to all OnDemand test results. Results may also be provided to a local, state, or federal health authority, but only when legally required. For example, many states require the testing laboratory and healthcare provider to report test results for certain communicable diseases, such as sexually transmitted diseases or COVID-19, to local or state health departments.
