FAQ

  • Our Men’s Health Test includes standard tests for men’s wellness including a comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) blood test, a complete blood count (CBC) test, a diabetes risk (HbA1c) test, a lipid panel, and a urine analysis test that can screen for various conditions, such as kidney disease or diabetes. Having regular screenings improves the likelihood of early detection of a variety of health issues, ultimately improving diagnoses and treatment options.

Other recommended screenings for men’s health include tests for:

    • colon cancer
    • prostate cancer3

These tests are not included in this package, but if you would like more information, check out our PSA Prostate Cancer Screening Test and ColoFIT Colon Cancer Home Collection Test.

  • Regular health screenings can be vital for early detection of health issues, establishing a baseline, and monitoring men's health and wellness overtime. Health care providers typically order a general health panel on an annual basis as part of physical exams.

  • Your testing will be performed in a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory. Labcorp provides leading-edge medical laboratory tests and services through a national network of primary clinical laboratories and specialty testing laboratories. Our labs perform regular quality assurance testing to ensure our results are accurate.

  • Your results will be provided to you through our secure online portal to view or print. Results are also provided to PWNHealth, which provides professional healthcare provider services for OnDemand tests. If you are accessing your results through your Labcorp Patient account, all users linked to the account will have access to all OnDemand test results. Results may also be provided to a local, state, or federal health authority, but only when legally required. For example, many states require the testing laboratory and healthcare provider to report test results for certain communicable diseases, such as sexually transmitted diseases or COVID-19, to local or state health departments.

X-axis (Standard Products)

  • SKU: 042077
    Name: Anemia Test
    Description:

Anemia is a condition caused by a lack of healthy red blood cells or low hemoglobin in the blood. Red blood cells contain hemoglobin, which carries oxygen throughout the body. When those levels are low, the decrease in oxygen can cause symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness and headaches. There are many types of anemia, each with its own cause; iron-deficiency anemia is the most common.

This anemia blood test includes a complete blood count (CBC) that measures your red blood cells to help detect anemia. Iron, B-12 and folate are also measured since mineral and vitamin deficiencies are common causes of anemia.

Test 2: true Test 4: true
  • SKU: 006049
    Name: Blood Type Test
    Description:

All blood types carry out the same life-sustaining functions, such as delivering oxygen throughout the body and helping to fight infections.

However, not all blood cells have the same combinations of surface proteins (antigens) and antibodies; it’s those unique combinations that determine your blood type. O+ is the most common blood type, AB- is the rarest.

This blood type test measures the combination of A and B blood type  antigens and specific antibodies that correspond to the four blood groups.  It also detects the Rhesus Factor (Rh) antigen to determine if your blood type is positive or negative. It is important to know your blood type in a medical emergency, if you’re planning for a pregnancy or if you plan on donating blood to help save lives.

Test 3: true Test 4: true
  • SKU: 001016
    Name: Calcium Test
    Description:

The most abundant mineral in the body is calcium. It contributes to bone growth and development, regulates muscle contraction (including heartbeats) and it plays a significant role in blood clotting.

This calcium blood test screens the level of calcium in your blood. Calcium plays a role in your overall health, including for your heart, bones, nerves, kidneys and teeth. Please note that taking medications such as lithium, antacids, diuretics and vitamin D supplements can affect the accuracy of your results.

The body gets the calcium it needs in two ways. One is by eating foods or supplements that contain calcium and the other is by drawing from calcium in the body. If not enough calcium-containing foods are consumed, over time the body removes calcium from bones which can cause osteoporosis.

The best way to get enough calcium daily is to eat a variety of healthy foods from all the different food groups. Calcium-rich foods include dairy products, dark green leafy vegetables, beans, figs, nuts and seeds). Several drinks, including soy milk and orange juice, offer calcium fortified options.

  • SKU: 140285
Name: Albumin to Creatinine Ratio (ACR) Test
    Description:

Your kidneys play a significant role in your health by recycling the reusable components in your blood (such as minerals) and by discarding unneeded waste products from your blood through urine. Albumin is a major protein and is one of these unneeded products. When your kidneys are functioning correctly, virtually no albumin should appear in your urine.

This test screens for kidney function problems by calculating your albumin to creatinine ratio (ACR). ACR is calculated by dividing the amount of albumin by the amount of creatinine in the urine. If the ratio shows more albumin in the urine than there should be it may indicate kidney damage.
